This beautiful book offers a glimpse at the glass flowers created by Leopold and Rudolph Blaschka of Dresden, Germany, from 1887 to 1936. The collection is vast and includes approximately 850 life-size models representing some 780 species and varieties of plants in 164 families. The collection is housed in a special exhibition space of the Botanical Museum, built on the campus of Harvard University in 1890. Today the collection is maintained and presented by the Harvard Museum of Natural History. This books offers a sample of these wonders.
