"Murano" is a work by American poet Mark Doty, addressed to a late friend. The poem is Doty's meditation on Venice and on the glassmaker's art as it is practiced on the island of Murano in the Venetian lagoon. The poem is accompanied by stunning photos of 17 pieces of Murano glass in the collection of the Getty Museum in Los Angeles.
