Glass master Josh Simpson has long created pieces he calls tektites. After learning about the materials in extraterrestrial meteor glass, Simpson re-created it in the studio. The result is far from the typical definition of perfect glass, but to Simpson, tektites are perfect: "They were made in heaven, eons before humans existed." Though this piece is vastly different than his work with vases and megaplanets, it is nonetheless stunning in its beauty. This piece is signed and dated by Simpson.
