Foreword by Susanne K. Frantz
When Corning Inc. built a new headquarters building in the early 1990s, a dynamic and engaging environment was a prime objective. The most unique contribution to this objective is found in the building's 11 skylit atria, each a showcase for a permanent glass sculpture. This book celebrates those sculptures. The works were chosen based on the artists' accomplishements and their international, technical, stylistic, and philosophical diversity. Among the artists included are Dale Chihuly, William Morris, and Bertil Vallien.
