The shape and style is based on patellae from the early Imperial Roman period

The carinated body is made from florets of a single pattern in opaque yellow, opaque green and white outlined in pale purple, in an opaque mid blue matrix.

Both the inner and outer surfaces have been rotary polished and show fine concentric polishing marks
